The traditional major holidays in Taiwan include the Lunar New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the "Three Festivals". In addition to these, there are other holidays such as the 228 Peace Memorial Day, the Tomb Sweeping Festival, National Day, and New Year's Day.


By arranging special leaves and taking advantage of weekends, it is possible to connect these holidays and weekends together to create a long holiday period of around 10 days. With such a long holiday period, one can leisurely plan a vacation or travel.
